DB (breakbeat science, ror-shak)

Arriving in New York from London in '89, it could be argued that no one has done more for Drum & Bass in America than DB. First with his hardcore Breakbeat club NASA, (featured in the Larry Clark film Kids) then by launching Sm:)e Communications and releasing the first Jungle singles & compilations in the US, as well as signing DJ Dara, thus kick starting his career. He & Dara then opened Breakbeat Science, dedicated to Drum & Bass, it quickly became not only the most respected record store & label, but also the very epicenter of the jungle community in the US.

He recently released an artist project with partner Stakka under the name Ror-Shak, focusing & pushing the limits on the more musical side of the genre, which as a DJ, is what DB has become best loved for. "Secret Art of Science 2" is DB's 13th mix CD in as many years. He is also partner
in both the cutting edge mens lifestyle shop BBlessing & the multimedia & record label Deaf Dumb & Blind Recordings.

With 15 years of experience as a DJ, behind the decks, Henry Still takes control of the dance floor with an authority, professionalism and confidence unmatched by none, beckoning your undeniable attention Henry's infectious passion for music creates an inviting and positive atmosphere to explore his musical vision. His rhythms vary, yet maintain a consistency that keeps you moving while smooth and luscious pads flow in and out like a warm dream. His playful yet eerie melodies are known to trigger melancholic memories, engaging you to reflect upon significant moments in life... Time stands still on the dance floor of your mind as your spiritual body moves in perpetuity with ease.

"be still as a mountain...move like a great river..."
